wedding planning checklist

Our experience in wedding photography shows that it could be easy to forget about some little things, some details, and as a consequence not be able to take the best photos possible.
In accordance with that, we decided to compile this list to help you organize your perfect wedding day, and at the same time help us with our work - to give you beautiful photos!

01.

When we’ll arrive, we’d like to find all the details you’d want to photograph: the bride’s jewels, shoes, perfume, flowers, the groom’s tie, cufflinks, all printed materials (invitations, menus) and so on. And obviously the rings, with any other object you’d like to have in the shoots. If there is any kind of thing (a photo, a medal, everything) that can have a particular meaning on an emotional level please tell us, and we’ll try to insert it in our photographic narration. In general, the more details we’ll have, the better will be.

02.

During the Bride’s Party, if you’ll decide to wear the same pijamas or similar, please remember to do the same with the slippers; if not, it would be better to take the photos barefooted. Another important thing for the photo - be sure to iron pajamas!

03.

During the ceremony we strongly recommend guests will not use cell phones, because you don’t want to have a beautiful photos of your first kiss with a phone growing up from your shoulder or your head; in case of absence of a videographer, you can choose one person that - from a fixed position we’ll tell him/her, without moving in the church or the celebration area - can make a video (without disturbing the photographers).

04.

We’d need - if possible - to know all the details of the ceremony in advance, to be ready and to choose the best positioning for the shoots; and please remember that we’ll be there to make photos of your most important moments, so please (example) during the exchange of rings keep your hands in our direction and do it slow.

05.

At the end of the ceremony we’ll strongly advise you not to throw rice (it will stain your clothes and get stuck in the hair) but large, light-coloured, beautiful petals: this will be the best choice to have beautiful photos. For beautiful photos you need a lot of petals, you can mix live petals with artificial ones for a greater effect. In alternative, confetti will have a very spectacular effect (we recommend to buy Confetti Cannons).

06.

During the dinner please remind the location/the catering to arrange (if possible) our table not too far away, so we can notice when a conversation begins between courses, without anyone should come and call us.

07.

During the first dance or the cutting of the cake, if you’ll decide to have sparklers in your photos, please remember to choose the longest one (at least 40cm, but it will be even better to choose the longest too) to have the most beautiful result possible.

Advice for Bridesmaids: Choosing the Perfect Dress Color in Tuscany and Umbria. NO GREEN!

When attending weddings in the stunning landscapes of Tuscany and Umbria, choosing the right dress color is crucial. While green might seem appealing, it often doesn’t harmonize well with the natural surroundings and unique lighting of these regions.

Why Avoid Green?

Blending In: The lush greenery of the Italian countryside can cause green dresses to blend too much with the background, losing visual impact in photos.
Contrast and Vibrancy: Opt for colors that stand out against the natural scenery, such as soft pastels or warm earth tones, to create beautiful contrasts in wedding photos.
Timeless Elegance: Consider classic hues like blush, champagne, pink, gold, or light blue, which complement the landscape while maintaining elegance

As you can see, the green dresses blend into the surrounding landscape.
