Summer Family Session in Val d’Orcia & Crete Senesi
With John, Heather, and their adorable son, we captured a beautiful summer family session across two stunning yet very different locations in Tuscany. We started in Pienza, a charming town in Val d’Orcia, using its picturesque flower-filled alleys and authentic Italian streets as the perfect backdrop for heartwarming family portraits.
Later, we moved to Crete Senesi, one of the most breathtaking panoramic spots in Tuscany, known for its iconic rolling hills and winding cypress roads. As the day cooled, we took advantage of the soft evening light for the final part of the session.
If you’re visiting Tuscany in August, keep in mind that the landscapes here take on warm golden hues rather than lush greens. The fields turn into beautiful shades of beige and yellow, but the cypress trees remain evergreen, adding contrast to the scenery. If you prefer a greener backdrop, consider other areas of Tuscany during summer.
This session was truly special, and we were thrilled when this lovely family returned two years later for another shoot, capturing new memories with their now older child. We always love seeing our clients come back!
